The Diolaze XL Max, developed by InMode, is a state-of-the-art laser hair removal device renowned for its speed, comfort, and efficacy.

To start your laser hair removal journey, you will attend for a laser consultation with one of our therapists. They will assess your medical history, area of unwanted hair, perform test patches and discuss the treatment.

When you attend for your treatment, the area will be cleaned and a clear gel applied to the skin. You will wear protective goggles. The therapist will then pass the laser over the treatment zone. You may feel an “elastic band” snap as the laser fires and a warm sensation on the skin. Diolaze XL Max has inbuilt cooling to ensure the treatment is as comfortable as possible.

You can treat almost anywhere you have unwanted hair. Common areas include legs, underarms, bikini area, chest, back, arms, face, toes, neck, abdomen.

We avoid treating fine facial hair.

We know how busy your life is so that’s why we’ve invested in brand new laser technology. Diolaze XL Max has one of the largest treatment spot sizes in the industry so is much quicker than older laser hair removal devices.

Immediately after the treatment the skin can look a little red temporarily (especially around the hair follicles) but you can return to normal activities.

Most patients experience an 80–90% reduction in hair growth after completing the recommended treatment sessions (usually 6). Once you have reached your desired level of hair reduction, most people will maintain with a session annually.

Risks will be discussed with you in detail prior to treatment. Laser hair removal with new devices such as Diolaze XL Max has low risks as long as you follow the pre and aftercare instructions. As with all laser treatment, there is a low risk of burns as well as pigment changes to the skin.

After your treatment, you will be emailed with detailed aftercare information so that you can refer to it at any time.

You can apply aloe vera gel if desired and you should wear daily sunscreen. Avoid sweaty exercise, hot baths and saunas for 48 hours.

How does Diolaze XL Max work?

Diolaze XL Max emits a concentrated beam of 810 nm wavelength light. This light is absorbed by the melanin (pigment) in the hair shaft and follicle. The energy converts to heat, destroying the root of the hair without damaging the surrounding skin.

Does Laser Hair Removal hurt?

The Diolaze XL Max features one of the largest built-in skin cooling surfaces among hair removal devices, enhancing patient comfort. Most people feel an “elastic band” snap as the laser is fired and a warming sensation of the skin.

When will I see results?

Most people will notice a reduction in unwanted hair after the first treatment. However, because all our hair follicles are in different phases of growth, some of the “dormant” hair follicles will start to grow hair about 6 weeks later. This is why you need around 6 sessions to ensure all the hair is treated while the follicles come into their growth phase.

While Diolaze XL Max is suitable for most individuals, certain conditions may preclude its use:

Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Use of Accutane within the past six months
Presence of active skin infections or conditions in the treatment area
Recent sun exposure or tanning
Certain medical implants or devices

Laser hair removal is not effective on white hair.

Do I have to avoid holidays?

You can have laser hair removal all year round but avoid self-tan, tanning beds or excessive UV exposure/sun tan/sun burn for 2 weeks before and after a session.

Is Laser Hair Removal better than waxing or shaving?

Laser hair removal has several advantages over temporary methods of unwanted hair control including: saving time, saving money in the long run, reduced skin irritation and reduced ingrown hairs.

What do I need to do to prepare for an appointment?

You will need to attend a laser consultation before starting treatment.

Before each session, ensure you have shaved the hair in the treatment zone around 12 – 24 hours beforehand. Do not pluck, wax or epilate hair during your treatment course.
