MORPHEUS8
Radiofrequency microneedling (non-surgical face lift)
about MORPHEUS8 treatment
Morpheus8 is a machine that combines Radiofrequency and Microneedling. The device works by inserting tiny needles in the face. While in the tissues, radiofrequency energy passes between the needles and heats the tissue, causing immediate contraction (tightening) and subsequent collagen stimulation. It can improve skin laxity, reduce jowls, treat acne scars, and help facilitate remodelling of the tissues. The device will also improve the texture and tightness of the surface layer of the skin. It provides incredible, long-lasting results and is often referred to as a non-surgical facelift. Of course, nothing can compare to surgery, but the results are very impressive.
There are other devices that offer radiofrequency microneedling but Morpheus8 is widely considered to be one of the best and is the only fractional radiofrequency microneedling device that has FDA clearance for contraction of soft tissue.
Morpheus 8 can be used anywhere on the body. Common areas to target are a double chin, jowls, jawline, cheek laxity, nose to mouth lines and brow lift. On the body, common areas for treatment include abdomen, upper arms and knees. Using the jawline as an example, 3 sessions of Morpheus8 could dramatically reduce fat in the area, tighten the skin and remodel the jawline to look much more refined. The results really speak for themselves.

What is Morpheus8?

Is Morpheus8 treatment painful?
If you read about Morpheus8 on the internet, it may mention that the treatment can be painful. However, if a strong numbing cream is applied and left on for 45-60 mins, then the treatment is comfortable. Dr Hannah has had this treatment and barely felt a thing!
What are the different Morpheus8 options?
Morpheus 8 Tips
The “face tip” is used to treat the lower face and neck.
The “resurfacing tip” is used to treat the superficial skin layer and is best for people wanting to treat crepey skin, acne scarring and surface texture.
The “body tip” is larger and can penetrate deeper and is used in body areas such as abdomen, arms, knees, buttocks.
The “prime tip” is smaller and used for areas such as around the eyes, forehead, above lip.
If you have Full Face Morpheus8 treatment, we will use both the “face” and “prime” tips in one treatment. You can also add a “resurfacing” treatment to a face treatment to target different skin layers in one treatment. Ask Dr Hannah about this.
Treatment areas
Our prices will show you the different costs for treating various parts of the face and body. If you aren’t sure which area you wish to treat eg. Full Face/Neck vs Lower Face/Neck then please contact us, book an initial consultation (new patients) or free review (existing patients).
What is the downtime?
Most people find that the downtime is better than they had imagined.
Immediately after the treatment, your skin will appear red and sometimes slightly swollen. This usually resolves after 24 -48 hours. There can be some minor bruising.
In the coming days, the skin may be a little flakey and some people (especially if acne-prone) may experience a “break out”.
If you have a “resurfacing” treatment, the downtime can last a little longer as the skin may have more initial marks and then tiny “scabs”. It’s not usually noticeable under make-up.
When will I see results?
Due to the soft tissue contraction with Morpheus8, most people notice an immediate improvement in tautness. There will be a subsequent collagen remodeling phase which takes months. Therefore, your “final” improvement may be seen a few months after you complete your course.
How many treatments are required?
Most people will have an initial course of three treatments, spaced roughly 6 weeks apart.
Some people, with minimal symptoms, may just need a single treatment. Dr Hannah will advise you.
How long do results last and is maintenance required?
After completing the initial course, we will advise you to book in for a review about 18 months later. Most people will maintain their results with a single treatment once every 18 – 24 months. In the meantime, we’d advise you to optimize your skincare and consider skin boosters to maintain the very best results. Dr Hannah will guide you.
Why Morpheus8 over other devices?
There are other radiofrequency microneedling devices on the market but Morpheus8 is the only one to have FDA approval for soft tissue contraction. It has a strong track record with clinicians and patients for safety and producing amazing results. It is important to Dr Hannah that she offers the highest quality products and devices at KinDRed.
