What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is an FDA approved injectable treatment which contains microparticles of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). PLLA is a powerful biostimulator and helps to restore natural collagen and improve skin tightness.
Is Sculptra a “filler”?
Sculptra is not the same as a hyaluronic acid dermal filler. Sculptra contains microparticles of PLLA which is a plant-derived powerful stimulator of collagen. With Sculptra, results are gradual, subtle and last up to two years.
Will Sculptra make me look fake?
Sculptra is a biostimulator and so results are achieved by your own skin cells producing natural collagen. This means Sculptra is ideal for people looking for a fresher but natural look.
How much does Sculptra treatment cost?

The number of vials you need depends on individual factors and will be discussed with you before starting treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
We recommend a course of 3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart.
When will I see the benefits?
Sculptra is a biostimulator which means it produces beneficial skin results through a natural and gradual process. We would expect you to see some improvement after 3-4 weeks with the most improvement seen 3-6 months after your course.
How long do results last?
Studies have shown that results can last for up to 2 years. Most patients return for a single maintenance session every 1 – 2 years.
Can Sculptra be used with other treatments?
Sculptra works brilliantly in combination with other treatment modalities including Morpheus8, Lumecca, dermal filler and “botox”. Your KinDRed clinician will advise you about the best order to perform the treatments in your individual case.
Is there anyone that shouldn’t have Sculptra treatment?
A medical assessment will be undertaken before treatment but as a guide, Sculptra is not suitable in the following scenarios: pregnancy/breast feeding, active skin infection or skin cancer at the site of treatment, allergy to local anaesthetic, multiple or severe allergies to any allergen, undergoing active cancer treatments, taking systemic steroids or immunosuppressants or biologic medications, suffering from autoimmune disorder, suffering from a clotting disorder. If you have a history of cold sores, treatment could bring on an episode.
